cutting the dreads off...

Last week, we cut my babies dreads off....dun dun duuuunnnn.

hes had them for 7 years,
(isn't he pretty? :) )

and they were pretty awesome.

we documented the cutting off his hair and after 7 years, (its quite a monumental moment (in our lives) i think deserves recognition..

are we sitting comfortably?
then we shall begin...

7 o'clock, looking slightly nervous....

we decided to do the underneath first,
so that he didnt go into shock ;)

this reminds me of the little girl from
waterworld? when shes been
naughty and gets her hair cut off...hehehe

''a 7lb-er!''
a little disgruntled..

then, we spend a good 3 hours,
teasing them out with sweet words,
gentle fingers, a whole lotta
conditioner and a comb.


just thought id put this in because
its cuuuute..
they were like this when
we came back down from
conditioning.

pretty suave ;)

Edward Cullen, eat your heart out...

He donned a hat until
hed had it cut properly...

so yes :) that was our de-dreading experience...
