birthday suit
A joke that never seems to go bad with the older generations ;)
''what shall i wearrrr??'' (panicing about birthday outfits)
''your birthday suit of course!'' (goes off laughing to self..)
So, yes..its my 21st in a month, and i neeeed a dress. being a seamstress everyone has suggested i make my own, but to be honest, by the time iv bought fabric and spent time making a pattern and sewing it up, i might aswel have bought one. Annnyyyyyway, im not sure what style to go for. im quite curvy and short, so i was thinking a bodycon dress? but then will that be too short?? do i have something floaty? tight? wierd? BIG? it has to have straps/be REALLY sturdy, as my boobs will take full advantage to being left to do their own thing. Also, i don't have a bjillion £££ to spend. is that 'charity shops!' i hear you cry?? yes, had thought of that, but getting out of the house is a hard one.
toughey. i might just go shopping on the day of the party and see what i can find?

red advice
Some important things i picked out today about dyed red hair (some are totally obvious, but ill add them anyway):
- you need to have your hair at LEAST one shade lighter for the red to take and not go a horrid colour
- if your hair isn't naturally light, you WILL need a pre lightener to strip the pigment out.. i found this out on here. REALLY useful site for advice on bleaching hair...from a real person, not a money grabbing salon :) (i do agree sometimes you should go to a professional, but sometimes at £40 - £200 a time, thats just not an option)
- if your hair goes wrong the first time, DO NOT just dye it again straight away, surely common sense will tell you that the more non natural stuff you stick in your hair, the worse it will get?? do some research, and put a leave in conditioner in whilst you look into what you should next
- red is by far the most difficult pigment to keep in and ultimately you will have to dye it more frequently if you want it to remain as vibrant. To help you can use products specially formulated for red hair because they disperse a small amount of red pigment to your hair and also contain less stripping agents that volumising shampoos. You can also use baby shampoo as the detergent level in it is very minimal unlike volumizing or clarifying formulas which have loads of alcohol in them to dry up the root so that the cutical of the hair shaft is roughed up and looks more voluminous. Keep conditioning locks and use leave in conditioner with a UV protector in it which will keep the sun's rays from fading your locks.
- I am sure what happened when you initially first dyed your hair was that you put it all over your head and waited for the dye to develop? This is what would leave your ends darker than the top of your hair. A trick I learned is if you are lightening your hair anything over 2 shades always apply the hair colour to the ends first, away from your scalp let that delvelop for about 10-15 minutes and then spread the remainder through your roots and leave that in for 15 min. (developing time 25-30 min) I will tell you why, the heat from your scalp speeds up the developing process thus speeding up how fast your hair lightens thats where a lot of people go wrong when doing hair on their own for the first time. Also, virgin hair that's never been dyed will pick up colour a lot quicker. When you apply the colour to the ends first if gives them a head start to lighten and will end up matching beautifully once you rinse.
- choose a red that suits your skin, i.e warm or cool colours etc..check what will go with your skin tone.
so, red it is!!! pre lightener soon and then red, i used to use this stuff..
not sure if ill try something different this time?? hmmmmm...this stuff fades quite quickly, so i could just put different colours on top if i want a change. yes. :) can't wait.

''The singer, 24, who wore a red vintage dress to celebrate British fashion from the Forties to Eighties at the launch of the event today, insisted that she still intends to give up music and will play her last show on 7 March.
The festival in August, which mixes music and fashion, will feature the launch of Allen's new vintage clothing label, Lucy In Disguise.
The singer said: “I'm starting a shop with my sister and a couple of other people. I'm really busy in the office every day at the moment, sourcing clothes, and I'm really excited about my new venture.”
Allen added that her shop aimed to be “an antidote to the mass consumerism culture of high street shopping”.
Vintage At Goodwood is being billed as the festival for people who want glamour and no mud. Fashion designers Gerardine and Wayne Hemingway have joined forces with stately home owner Lord March to launch the event in the Sussex countryside.
The three-day festival will boast the first performance by Sixties pop singer Sandie Shaw in 25 years and the world's biggest market of vintage clothing. It will also feature events from punk group The Damned to tea-dancing.
Hemingway said: “It's a cultural event very much like the Festival of Britain but a contemporary version.”
It began after the Hemingways saw a picture of Kate Moss in the Glastonbury mud and realised that festivals had lost their sense of glamour.
Hemingway said: “It was an epiphany moment. I realised they had stripped away the fashion and the glamour and it was just about getting mucky, but when me and Gerardine were growing up, the whole thing about music was music and glamour going together — glam rock and David Bowie, punk with Vivienne Westwood. It's a celebration of the creative industries which are the second biggest driver of the economy after the service sector.”
The idea took concrete form when the Hemingways met Lord March who could offer Goodwood as a setting. This will also lessen the chance of mud with careful grass preparation and chalky soil.
At the event there will be venues dedicated to music through the decades from a Forties club with the orchestra of John Miller, to a Seventies ballroom and an Eighties roller disco.
Attendance will be capped at 20,000 for the first year, but will have to expand to balance the books. Tickets go on sale today with adult day passes for £55 and weekend camping tickets at £150. Go to www.vintageatgoodwood.com''

..told me that my hair was red, told me i was beautiful...
laugh it off, avoid the bullshit,
take chances and never have regrets,
because at one point, everything you did
was exactly what you wanted.
yupyup.
itd start off that nice colour...then it would fade to...a faded colour? which reminds me of anne of green gables, not a look i really wanna go for... (the beautiful man in the picture is milo...hes beautiful inside and out, 100% good strong man.)
anyway, the red was A LOT of upkeep, would fade pretty quick each time i washed it..but my hair was in pretty bad condition and i guess that's why it wouldn't hold the colour..? anyway, so i got fed up of red, and tried to go blonde again..for stupid reasons i think, and after i bleached it 3 times, people told me red was the hardest colour to get out. RUBBISH. So my hairdresser friend cut it for me because my hair was pretty dead. and then we dyed it brown, as you saw in a few entries previous. my hairs now grown back, as i said..to my nips and...surprise surprise i wanna dye it red again. iv wanted to for a year or so now, every time i see someone with red hair i go all misty eyed. To go red again, i need to bleach the brown out of my hair and then dye red on top..hmmmmm. not sure about that? ill cut an inch or so off my hair after to encourage it to grow healthyish..but what if it doesnt work? what do we all think? hmmmm...HALP.
if i do decide to red it up again, ill blog so any other scardy cats can follow my lead ;)

This be our doglets poorly foot! its not too bad to be honest, apart from the fact she cant get it wet..and the weather at the minute is nothing BUT wet.. so she has to wear a drip bag over it when she goes outside (though i gaffa taped it yesterday, much more effective and less slipping about)...and she can only go out on a lead..as you can imagine, being a springer..this doesnt go down too well.. eeep! but Friday she has it off or changed..canne remember, then next Wednesday she has the stitches out so long as its all fine..which i know it will be. soooo, yes...our doggy with the camo bandage..shes hardcore! \m/

broken hearted
wwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :(
ANNNYWAY, we had a wonderful time :) Carol and John were very very welcoming, and we could easily make ourselves at home...lounging all over the sofas chatting and being mauled and 'loved'.
Yesterday we visited Bath center, twas awesome i have to say :) good for shopping, so we will be heading back :D but then...disaster struck...
When wed left the house mid morning, john was just taking the dogs out, (lovely man) and when we got back molly had a bandage on..hmmm, but it was OK, she was happy and not limping so we were OK with it.
Turns out shed been running amongst old farmy bits in her usual gangley speedy manner. later on she started trying to lick the bandage off, so we went to take it off because of dog spit being healing etc etc, to find...that little fleshy pad on her leg..CUT IN HALF and bleeding. BLURGH. so we took her to the vets in bath at 7 at night on a Sunday..(as you can imagine, it was not cheap..i would in fact, go as far as to say it was extortionate ). They wrapped it up in a HUGE bandage for us to take her to the local vets today to have it removed. They gave her some antibiotics and some painkillers so she was niiiice and spaced all the way home :) hehehe. so currently shes in the locas vets being put under to have it cut off and sewn up.niiice. luckily they dont need they bit, so alls well :) apart from it being a tad too quiet witout her. we did manage to use toms mums camera last night to take some pics of her bandaged club foot, so ill get them uploaded soon :D hah.
Anyway, so that was my weekend :)

butterfly effect
So, these thoughts came from talking to an old friend who was like 'sooo....life?'' pretty much. and i told her ''corsets and houses and stuff''..and i asked back after her, she said ''yes yes, uni, busy..good''. and i thought ''wow, imagine if i went to uni last year...'' *imagines*
* id be a 5 hour drive away
* we wouldnt have molly
* we wouldnt be moving house in april
* mum probably would have already moved to her boyfriends
* we might not even be together because of distance/uni experience etc etc
when i think about things that would be so so different, the extra things i would have done, the things i wouldnt have done. strange.
more later.

too true

buying things that don't want
to impress people they don't like.

weeeee :)
just a quick one to show you the finished bit after its been dyed and washed and dried and finished off :) yay. i love it.
things you will need to undercut..
- a decent pair of clippers (or a razor with some foam if your REALLY brave)
- a steady hand
- hair bobbles
- a comb/brush (id recommend a comb)
if you don't know how to use clippers, which i didnt..well..
there should be a lever on the side? when its switched up it will cut really close to the skin, down..further away. when you turn the clippers on first, make sure the lever is pointed down. if your using clippers with the add on bit, make sure its the right length comb. i recommend a no.2 comb. for a nice length cut for the first time..you can make it shorter, not longer!
select the bit of hair you want to shave and pin the rest back, i suggest cutting less and adding more as you go on..again, its easier to cut more after than try and grow it so u can start again.
cut your hair off to about an inch or so, this will be easier to shave off.
this is a good video for showing you what to do next...how to get right upto the edge.
et voila. ill post my hair in different styles over the weekend/after, for any of you with long hair, who dont want to look weird or anything. :)
<3 much love xxxxxxxxxxxx
Undercuts
to having hair cut upto my cheek bones...
Ewwwww. never cutting my hair of EVER AGAIN.
its only just gotten back to a decent length (just covers my nips)
so yeah..it left me with a...i don't know..a link in my head to having my hair cut, bringing me out in something that resembled a cold sweat.
SO, having an undercut...i thought it looked hot, but could i go through cutting that much hair off?? err...no! but i did need to regain 'me'. i did fashion for those two years...and i kind of lost myself. i found myself in the sense of, i know who i am and what i want now..and my personality is more rounded and confident, but being who i really really am, infront of everyone all the time, like i used to be able to. i guess to feel cool? in myself..not for others.
so, i looked for pictures of undercuts on girls with long hair...and they EXIST!!! on supermodels. (and very alternative people) <_<. hmph. i am about 3ft shorter than a supermodel and curvy. hmmm. so, i finally found some good images...
In the end...theres no amount of looking at pictures or gelling/gripping my hair into place thats going to show me what it would be like..so i did it. i just borrowed some clippers and shaved it..a little just above my ears, curving round behind like a crescent moon..i think i need to take a little more off but i also need to dye my hair..so im going to do that tonight and then take some pics. just thought id post this for anyone looking for decent undercut info..as i couldn't find any. ill add (what to do exactly, how to use clippers if you never have etc) to this when iv had more thoughts on it...and some better pics later. :)

LOVE
beautiful thing
called love
(ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming,
can't-live'without-each-other love.)
(also known as the big whooperdoodle, or, the most
important part of this whole sloppy, thilling, infuriating,
marvelous experience.)
so this is love. as wonderous and scary and fabulous as it
can be. it may have starter with more attraction, but where
its eneded up is somewhere deeper and truer and endlessly
more fullfiling.
and despite yourself, you will have learned a little something
along the way. that euphoria that doesnt have to be fleeting.
that love can survive doubt. that a joyful instinct should
never be repressed.
And so you throw yourself into love. Heartfirst.
never stop falling in love. hearts.

love...stolen
''Love
If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love. Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (The Message)

movin' on...
Im moving house :O
I currently live in the house iv lived in sinse i waaassss 10? (im 21 in march) and i love it :D really really do, lots of lovely memories and lovely energies buzzing about in here :). but mum cant afford it anymore, to damned expensive (its rented) so shes moving in with her bf and im moving in with mine :) this is it :D >
Its in the town near us, Leamington Spa, its so soooo cute! We move in on april 3rd :D
When we were looking for somewhere i was in almost physical pain from the grief of losing the house were in at the minute...But its just not practical living here anymore, i neeeeed a job so badly and living here makes it nearly impossible to get anywhere without help or lots of moneys. Where were we?? Oh..i was in pain, lots and lots of pain. until..DUN DUN DUUUUUNNNN, we viewed this house.. We got there earlier than the estate agent lady, and went for a quick walk up the street, where theres a grassy comyn, from which u can see the ENTIRE of Leamington, CRAZY pretty :)..Slowly the stabbing pain of grief caused by losing my childhood (kinda) home was dampened. When the lady arrived we went through the front door (obviously) into a hallway with the original ceramic tiles(!!!!!!) and the pain was halfway numbed! After seeing the entire house i knew i was going to miss my house place like crazy but that moving into the new place with its pretty garden and awesome bathroom was enough to clear the pain entirely. Im also aware i'm going to have to enjoy the bits i love about the house EXTRA hard over the next 2 months. The morning after, i went outside and it was SUNNY so i took pictures whilst walking mums dogs...
this is the view up my drive from the house :)
walk up the track to the 'walled garden'
lonely bench in the garden
shadows taller than our souls in the low down winter sunfrom the walled garden you can see the trees and behind them a church
SUNSHIIIINNEE
the walled garden :) pretty pretty
rosie dog, she ooolllddd, but cute :)
we love the lense flare :D
Im gonna take a million more pictures before we leave, make a log of all the houses were in, and he progression of them, changes etc :).
Probably very boring for anyone who reads this, but i guess its for me? Hmm, never mind. :D I love this house, the next tenants better love it this much!
